I believe it is OK to ask for help, to maintain a sense of humor, and to not take yourself too seriously. As a result, I have always enjoyed positive and productive relationships with members of the C-suite, private equity sponsors, co-workers, and staff alike. I believe in the value of teamwork, and that the success of an individual is predicated upon the success of the team. I take great care to surround myself with talented individuals with positive attitudes who work well together. This approach has allowed me to successfully manage global organizations and to lead functional teams including FP & A, accounting, and treasury with accountability to private equity sponsors, boards of directors, banks, and audit firms.
