About Sean Leary

Sean Leary serves as the chief financial planning and investor relations officer of Ally Financial Inc. In this role, he leads corporate financial planning and analysis, oversees line of business finance activities, and serves as Ally’s primary liaison with the investor and analyst community. As the head of corporate financial planning and analysis, Leary develops and manages the annual financial plan for the enterprise. He reports to Ally’s CFO.Leary joined Ally in 2008. Prior to his roles in finance, he held leadership positions in balance sheet management and capital management, where he was responsible for managing interest rate risk and capital allocation. Before joining Ally, Leary worked at Cerberus Capital Management and began his career at GE Capital, where he held various positions within the finance and capital markets organizations.Leary holds a bachelor’s degree from Wake Forest University and an MBA from McColl School at Queens University, where he serves on the school’s board of trustees. Additionally, Leary serves as executive sponsor of the CFO group\'s early talent development program and for Ally\'s Diverse Abilities Employee Resource Group.
