ABOUT SEAN JARVIS
I am an experienced sports executive with three decades in leadership across football, rugby and cricket, combining commercial acumen with a passion for community engagement. Most recently, I had the privilege of serving as Chief Executive Officer at Leicestershire County Cricket Club (2020–2025), where I led the club through one of the most challenging periods in its history — the COVID-19 pandemic — while building a stronger, more sustainable future.During my time at Leicestershire, I set out a five-year strategic plan to turnaround, stabilise and grow the club. Together with an excellent team, we achieved many of those goals: securing the Metro Bank One-Day Cup in 2023 (our first major silverware in 14 years),promotion to Division One (the first in the history of the Club), strengthening commercial partnerships, growing membership, and enhancing the club’s presence in the local business and community ecosystem. I also played a vocal role in national conversations about the future of county cricket, ensuring Leicestershire’s voice was heard.Before cricket, I spent 14 years at Huddersfield Town AFC, serving as Commercial Director and later as a Board Director. I helped steer the club through a transformational period that included promotion to the Premier League in 2017. I developed initiatives such as the “Huddersfield Hundred” to deepen links with local businesses, and worked extensively with the Town Foundation and community programmes, embedding the club at the heart of the town.Earlier in my career, I gained valuable experience at Oldham Athletic and within sports marketing, which grounded me in the importance of building authentic partnerships and sustainable revenue streams.What drives me is creating lasting impact — building strong organisations, connecting with supporters and communities, and ensuring sport remains accessible and inspiring. As I look ahead, I remain passionate about contributing to the growth of sport and business, whether through leadership, advisory roles, or partnerships that make a difference.
