In 1989, I created \"Scouting For Food\", an Eagle Scout project to collect can goods for homeless soup kitchens. The project is still done today: hanging a bag with info on the door of a home and giving them a week to fill it up with can goods, then retrieve them and donate it to the homeless soup kitchens. 3.5 Million scouts now use this model nationwide. I continue to speak to troops presenting the National Eagle Scout Association 100 year book, in which my story is published, to motivate the scouts to reach their rank of Eagle Scout and how they can better their community. Active from 19••••93 cub scouts, boy scouts, order of the Arrow, Eagle Scout, patrol leader and senior patrol leader, community volunteer, 100+ industry merit badges. lots of survival training. 1% of people attain Eagle Scout from all that start the path. Plus published in the 100 year hard copy book honoring Eagle Scouts with the most influential projects on society. Thanks for the Congrats just wanted to verify what really goes into the path.
