ABOUT SEAN J.

A native of South Florida, I enlisted in the U.S. Army in September 2001 as an infantry soldier. In 2004, I served for 12 months in Paktika Province, Afghanistan. Upon returning from Afghanistan in 2005, I left active duty and continued my undergraduate studies at Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton, Florida. In January of 2006, I began undergraduate studies in Construction Management at Florida International University in Miami, Florida, and was hired by KM-Plaza Construction Services. With KM-Plaza, I worked as a Project Engineer and Change Order Manager on two new construction condominium projects on Miami Beach, The Carillon Ph. II and The W Hotel. In May of 2007, I was selected to attend the U.S. Army Special Forces Qualification Course, graduated in January 2009, and was assigned to the 20th Special Forces Group (Airborne), Florida Army National Guard. With 20th Group, I deployed to Afghanistan in 2010, El Salvador in 2012, Honduras in 2014, the Arabian Peninsula in 2016, and Lebanon in 2021 for six to eight months. In 2013, I completed my Bachelor of Science in Strategic Studies and Defense Analysis at Norwich University with high honors. In 2019, American University Washington College of Law awarded me a Juris Doctor degree with honors in the fall, and I graduated from the U.S. Army Special Forces Warrant Officer Technical and Tactical Course in the spring. Following my promotion to Warrant Officer, I completed the Florida Bar Examination in February 2020 and am currently a member of the Florida Bar Association in good standing. In March 2020, I began U.S. government contract employment with Victor 42 at Special Operations Command (SOCOM). In July of 2022, I completed a successful six-month deployment to Lebanon with 20th Group. In February 2023, I continued U.S. government contract employment with Jacobs Solutions, Inc. supporting the SOCOM J33 - Current Operations Directorate as a Regional Subject Matter Expert.
