A specialist in the provision of advisory and assurance activities in the global donor sector, I work with international aid and development agencies and their NGO implementing partners. I\'m a Chartered Accountant (ICAS) with expertise in advisory, grant management, donor compliance, risk mitigation, audit and strengthening internal controls. I have over 8 years of experience working with the International Institutions & Donor Assurance team at BDO LLP in London. This team has unrivalled experience and expertise in providing assurance, advisory and technical delivery services to international institutions, particularly those involved in grant-making and implementing grant-funded programmes. This team conducts around engagements in over 150 countries each year. With years of experience travelling and working globally, I have conducted capacity assessments, performance reviews, and audits for UN agencies, the European Commission, major Foundations and development agencies. Currently, I am part of the management team delivering global assurance services for one of the worlds largest development agencies, leading audit teams across North America and East Africa delivering approximately 100 audits a year.I have visited over 55 countries and have a passion for increasing my knowledge and understanding of other countries and cultures, particularly in an international development context.
