About Sean Fitzgerel

20 years of experience in design, proof of concept, calibration, and analyses of large scale agent-based modelling and advanced Intelligent system communication and integration in the real-world space (digital twins and scenario analyses), as well as data analytics, software development, and client management. The bulk of experience has been with detailed “agent-based” modelling of vehicles, persons, and systems within the real-world environment and ITS systems, with unique experience in connected vehicle testing and developing novel methods for testing and simulating technology. He has worked with local, city, state, and federal departments of transportation in the United States and the EU, private development corporations throughout the world, and international authorities and private interests in the UK, Ireland, Australia, and Russia. In a previous role, he served as product/business manager for a cloud-based, real-time data aggregation platform, leading product expansion and development, as well as client relations and public outreach. The breadth of technical work in the agent-based LAM and modelling space has resulted in significant experience in software development and coding, developing dashboards and visualizations, APIs, and custom-build addons to support agent simulation use.

   Internal and external business development lead for the America\'s Urban Mobility Solutions group of products from PTV, such as VISSIM, VISWALK, and VISTRO. The Urban Mobility Solutions group offers products that cover a wide range of topics, such as highway, arterial, and signal operations, and new operational planning with VISTRO, as well as public transit, cycling, and pedestrian simulation. Utilizing 15+ years of modelling with PTV and competitor software to help customers and stakeholders to find the products they need, the training to use that product, and the support to follow through to completion, PTV sells solutions/suites vs. simply a software program. Role involves the development and leading of strategy and opportunity and sales management, and to make sure that PTV is always offerring the tools that our customers need.
