ABOUT SEAN EMPEY

To begin my career, I was hired after I graduated with my Bachelor\'s degree in communication sciences and disorders. I was hired by American Family Insurance in 2014. I began as a casualty adjuster and transitioned to an auto theft and fire claim handler. In 2016, I was selected for a new pilot program called American Family Connect and was promoted to a bodily injury adjuster. In 2017, I was promoted to the Special Investigations Unit as an investigator. On 53•••22 I was promoted to a Vendor manager within the Special Investigations unit. Currently I manage my own case load and manage outside vendors to handle investigations for American Family Insurance. I have now accepted a position to be the safety director for Ideal Crane Rental and look forward to being able to implement new ideas and plans to keep our company’s employees safe. happy, and healthy. It will be a journey ahead of me, but I look forward to the challenge and building new relationships within the industry. Skills : Complex claim handling, investigations, communication, organization, leadership, plan development and implementation, employee engagement, and being a mentor and motivator. What i have done at American Family Insurance: Mentoring and training of adjusters, investigators, underwriters, vendors, and management. Member of the SIU engagement team, Member of the continuous improvement team. Member of the LEAN process team. I have also developed the new hire guide for SIU. In 2019, 2020, and 2021 I received an overall outstanding rating for my quality and speed of my work along with the countless other actions I completed. Before I left American Family I implemented a new claims hire SIU training and presentation. Qualifications. FCLS Designation. Claims adjuster license in Texas, Connecticut, North Carolina, South Carolina, Delaware, Wyoming, New Mexico, and registered in Georgia and California. Member of the International Association of Special Investigations Unit and Wisconsin Chapter Certified MEWP and telehander trainer. Qualified rigger and signal person Osha 10 CPR certified Reasonable suspicion Outside of work - I work sales with Menards Inc. I volunteer for the city of Waterloo on the administrative review appeals board, board of review, and board of zoning appeals. I was selected to be on the planning commission board and a meals on wheels coordinator for waterloo. Volunteer work - Waterloo food pantry, Watertown humane society, Madison food bank, Meals on Wheels, and have completed work with Habitat for Humanity.
