Sean Dingley is a senior engineer who specializes in temporary structures engineering for the construction and entertainment industry. His department provides a wide range of contractor services, including shoring and scaffolding engineering, renovation and demolition consulting, and temporary structure design such as tents, grandstands and movie set work.Sean began his engineering career at the University of Alberta and received his Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from Lakehead University. Sean is a registered Professional Engineer in 5 provinces from British Columbia to Ontario, and the North West Territories. Sean has over 26 years of experience in the local construction industry. He maintains strong relationships within the BC construction, contracting and film community, and he is particularly well-versed in all aspects of formwork design, scaffolding, and temporary construction. Sean is the Chair of the EGBC Temporary Structures task group, a member of the CSA S269.1 and CSA 269.2 committees, as well as several SAIA 11 standard committees. and the ACI 347 commitee. Sean Volunteers his time with the United Rugby club as a coach of Junior aged players, as well as the club\'s president.Sean and his team have been involved with the design of formwork and shoring systems for hundreds of structures throughout the Greater Vancouver area. The department has also been retained to design elaborate falsework for unique buildings with complex geometries, intricate access scaffold for infrastructure maintenance and reconstruction projects, and a multitude of temporary public access structures. Sean and his team acted as the special construction consultant for the enormous range of temporary structures erected at every venue of the 2010 Vancouver Winter Olympics.
