About Sean Demauri

Since my graduation from Thiel College in 2001, I have worked for two public accounting firms where my duties ranged from auditing SEC companies to preparing simple tax returns. It was during this time that my service to my country took hold of me and tasked me with serving our great nation. I have deployed twice in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom/Operation Enduring Freedom/Operation New dawn to the Iraqi Theater of Operations. During my first tour, I served as a platoon sergeant where I oversaw all logistical operations of a 60-Soldier platoon. In 2006, I decided to take my service to the next level and I accepted my commission as a Second Lieutenant in the US Army Reserves. Since my commissioning, I have taken command of units where I was directly responsible for 170 Soldiers’ morale, welfare, and overall well-being. My recent command post positioned me as the Senior Logistician in Northern Iraq. My team and I created the standard of how the US is to properly retrograde from a Theater of Operation. My current position in the US Army Reserves is of dual status. I am an educationally qualified Logistician as well as a Public Affairs Officer. With these positions, I currently maintain a secret security clearance. In 2005, I accepted a Licensing Analyst position with the PA Liquor Control Board. In this position, I was tasked with auditing all licensees located within western PA and north of Allegheny County. I worked directly with attorneys, licensees, and applicants where background checks were made, financial records were reviewed, and compliance checks were made. In 2007, I accepted the Licensing Analyst Supervisor position. I currently supervise nine (9) Analysts in performing the tasks that I mastered. Since 2008, I have been a licensed Realtor. Being a Realtor brought me to form a construction company. With this company, we focus on property management as well as outdoor projects. I\'m always looking for new opportunities to broaden my career!

   Perform duties as a liaison for the command element to all media outlets. Assist with subject-matter-expert interview preparations. Brief the command on all current events. Assist the commander with the morale, welfare, and well-being of a 21 Soldier team. Directly responsible for the physical performance of the entire team. Mentor junior leaders in the ways of combat. Operation Iraqi Freedom I & II and Operation New Dawn Veteran. Responsible for the logistics of closing all bases north of Baghdad in the Iraqi Joint Area of Operation. This involved processing several thousand movement requests as well as working directly with the Sustainment Brigade and the Service Support Battalions in order to coordinate the proper amount of assets required to move all the cargo by ground. Tracked the movement of this cargo throughout the entire Middle East via a GPS tracking system as well as hands-on inventory of the cargo yards. Responsible for the morale, welfare, and safety of 75 military personnel and civilian contractors. Implemented safety standards that resulted in zero accidents during this tour. Worked directly with the Department of State in the proper implementation of the responsibilities of movement control. This allowed the Department of State to successfully take over the mission when US Soldiers departed.
