ABOUT SEAN D. TOOMEY
Dr. Sean Toomey is a fellowship trained orthopedic surgeon who specializes in hip and knee replacement surgery. He performs over 500 joint replacement procedures each year (private practice setting) in addition to many knee arthroscopies. He is actively involved in clinical research, has published numerous articles in peer-reviewed journals, and has given national and international lectures on joint replacement topics and advanced orthopedic techniques. Dr. Toomey focuses his practice on minimally invasive hip and knee replacement surgery. This includes tissue sparing Direct Anterior approach for total hips and technologically advanced robotic-arm assisted techniques for partial knee, total knee, and direct anterior hip replacement surgery. He performed the first robotic-assisted orthopedic knee replacement surgery in Seattle in 2010, and has now performed over partial knee, total knee and total hip replacements using this advanced technology.
