I\'m proud to carry out specialist and general news correspondent duties for BBC News having been redeployed from Panorama in 2021.Specialist duties have included extended periods as Education Correspondent and an upcoming spell as Home Affairs Correspondent in the summer.The role includes extensive TV and radio live and pre-recorded duties, news and specialist packaging, interviewing, investigating and researching news stories for all platforms.In addition to my operational duties as a journalist, I\'m emensly proud to lead the BBC\'s Freframing Disability project, part of 5050 Equality. My role has involved planning and delivering course training material for pan-BBC rollout, third sector collaberation with the Media Trust, participating in DCMS funded activies as part of the Future News Fund with charities and media organisations united in their desire to increase on-screen, in content and on radio contributions from disabled people. I lead a team of trainers and project colleagues to increase penitration and tangable results on air in support of the BBC\'s commitment to 50% women, 20% BAME and at least 12% disabled contributors as monitored by the 50 50 team.

Experienced on-screen and multi-platform journalist with a 19 year track record of breaking news, investigating institutional and systemic failures and presenting off-diary original journalism currently for BBC Panorama.I’m a proud graduate of the BBC’s highly-competitive Extend in Leadership programme which seeks to retain and promote journalists with disabilities to leadership roles.I have strong experience in managing people, teams and projects inside and outside of media whether supporting colleagues who are new to the industry or managing fundraising events and projects in my role as a volunteer group chairman for the charity Guide Dogs and I\'m embracing new roles as a BBC Mentor, Young Reporter Ambassador and mental health first aider.I’m currently seeking to report and present more long-form documentaries and films while supporting the BBC’s talent development workstreams and seeking suitable leadership roles.
