About Seamus Doyle

I believe that nothing empowers a person as much as education, experimentation, and community. As a creative marketing professional with a passion for learning and craft beer, I thrive on collaboration, new ideas, and solving complex problems with simple solutions.I always loved learning so when the Peace Corps asked if I\'d be interested in teaching high school while training elementary and secondary teachers in Indonesia, it was an easy yes. When the South-East Asia center asked if I would teach adult learners English in addition to recruiting volunteers and managing their outreach and marketing, it too was an easy yes. When Loyola Press, an educational publisher, asked me if I would join them in their mission of creating transformative experiences for administrators, teachers, and students, it was a no brainer. And finally, when Gilson offered the opportunity to support their team in enabling and supporting academics, researchers, and scientists in the lab as they explore verifiable science, it was a natural transition.Admittedly, my passion for craft beer came later in life. As a college student with craft tastes but an Old Milwaukee Light budget, I tried my hand at home-brewing. After a few questionable batches, I quickly realized it was better left to the professionals. Luckily, by the time I had returned from Indonesia, Milwaukee\'s first cooperative brewery, New Baron\'s Brewing Cooperative, had just launched. I quickly invested, becoming Member Owner #135. Immediately, I identified with the focus on community, helping members follow their passions, and craft beer education! After a few years of helping out with events and guest beertending, I was elected by my fellow member-owners to the Board of Directors where I get to merge my passions for marketing, science, education, and craft beer!So whether your passions are in education, science, craft beer, or elsewhere, if you find yourself in Brew City Milwaukee and would like to connect, your first beer (or cocktail or NA option) is on me at NBBC!
