After two years of ambitious and dedicated service to Abraham Lincoln High School, its student body, and the surrounding community, I was honored to step into this role in continued pursuit of our school’s mission to empower student growth and achievement. As Math Intervention Specialist, I provide instructional coaching and leadership grounded in the RELAY Get Better Faster framework and tailored to priorities identified by our instructional leadership team.In this role, I directly support a caseload of six educators, including all three math interventionists on site. Two of the interventionists are Spanish-dominant, and I offer coaching in both English and Spanish to ensure linguistically responsive and asset-based support.Key responsibilities include:Facilitating coaching cycles to strengthen instructional practice aligned with the LEAP framework (Learning Environment, Instruction, Professionalism, and Responsiveness to Student Perception).Leading the implementation of new software tools identified in collaboration with school and collaborative cohort leadership to meet the evolving needs of our students.Training interventionists in leveraging these platforms to design data-informed instruction that accelerates student progress.Serving as a thought partner and instructional leader in the school\'s ongoing efforts to close opportunity gaps and foster equitable, rigorous learning experiences.This role reflects not just a continuation of my commitment to our students, but a deepening of it — built on relationships, trust, and a shared vision for excellence.

ABOUT SUSAN DIAZ-MESHEJIAN
I believe the most powerful work happens at the intersection of systems, people, and place.My path has been shaped by a consistent question: what does it take to build communities where everyone has a genuine shot? That question has taken me from a congressional district office in Los Angeles, to nonprofit policy advocacy in Austin, to juvenile justice reform in Oklahoma, to the classrooms and hallways of Denver Public Schools — where I currently serve as a Math Intervention Specialist, Instructional Coach, and Student Council Advisor at Abraham Lincoln High School.My academic formation is the foundation beneath all of it. I hold a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Urban Studies from The University of Texas at Austin — with concentrations in Applied Statistical Modeling and Ethnographic Research — and a Master of Education in Administration, Curriculum, and Supervision from the University of Oklahoma. That combination of quantitative rigor, qualitative depth, and organizational leadership is the lens through which I approach every problem I take on.Over seven years in education, I have coached educators, led professional learning communities, co-developed district-wide instructional protocols, and advised student leaders in civic engagement and community organizing. I am fluent in the Direct Instruction Model, Workshop Model, the LEAP Framework, RELAY Coaching, SIOP, and Kagan Collaborative Structures — and I coach in both English and Spanish.Beyond the classroom, I have served on the Superintendent\'s Advisory Council for Denver Public Schools, contributed to Columbia University\'s Square One Project on justice reimagination, presented juvenile justice reform recommendations to the Oklahoma County Board of Commissioners, and facilitated professional development on narrative change and justice for Teach For America stakeholders across Oklahoma.What connects all of it is a commitment to building systems that are equitable, responsive, and built with — not just for — the communities they serve.I bring to any room: data literacy, stakeholder engagement, bilingual communication, organizational design, policy analysis, and a track record of turning complex challenges into actionable strategy.
