    Leader of the Maintenance and Operations department on the Mission Systems Operations Contract (MSOC) at the Johnson Space Center. • Management of approximately 200 personnel divided into six sections with managers for each section• Direct operations of the Mission Control Center (MCC), the Mission Training Center (MTC), and the Space Vehicle Mockup Facility (SVMF) • Operations encompasses a wide variety of skills, systems, and technologies, from operation of specialty pneumatic systems to scheduling and configuration of space-based satellite communications assets• Processing and review of all issues that arise in all three facilities and coordination to ensure that critical failures are restored, investigated, and prevented from recurrence• Maintenance of all three facilities including preventive maintenance as well as repair of failed equipment. Procurement and review of vendor maintenance contracts for critical hardware systems. Responsible for ensuring enough spares and supplies on hand at all times to meet NASA system availability requirements• Responsible for the implementation of hardware modification to systems in all three facilities, including scheduling of the changes to align with mission constraints. Changes include electrical, data, physical, and unique one-of-a-kind space equipment• Responsible for emergency preparedness and protection of critical equipment in preparation of severe weather events, as well as recovery once the event has completed• Performance of public affairs activities as required, including ensuring that all three facilities are safe and presentable to members of the public along with giving guided tours to outside personnel• Planning and execution of annual and long-term budget and staffing plans, in alignment with NASA and contract budget goals and objectives. Monthly review of actuals against the plans and responsible for execution of corrective actions as required to ensure budget compliance
