Sebastien de Halleux is a global entrepreneur and investor with 25 years of experience launching and scaling frontier technology businesses. His career spans gaming, AI, climate tech, and early-stage investing, consistently building companies from idea to industry leadership.Sebastien is a founding General Partner at Graph Ventures, a global early-stage fund with a portfolio of more than 300 companies.Previously, Sebastien helped pioneer embodied AI, as COO and advisor to Field AI, scaling autonomy for robots in complex, unstructured environments. He was also Co-Founder and CGO at Matchday, creating the first AI-powered mobile game designed for football’s five billion fans. Prior to that he was founding COO at Saildrone, launching a category-defining company that revolutionized planetary data collection using wind- and solar-powered ocean robots. On the investment side, Sebastien served as Entrepreneur-in-Residence at Capricorn Investment Group, known as the early backers of Tesla, SpaceX, Planet Labs, QuantumScape, and Joby Aviation.Earlier in his career, Sebastien co-founded and served as COO of Playfish, one of the fastest-growing social video game companies, acquired by Electronic Arts (Nasdaq: EA) in 2009. He also helped launch Glu Mobile, an early mobile gaming pioneer which IPO\'ed in 2007 (Nasdaq: GLUU), and held strategy and innovation roles at Nokia and Booz Allen Hamilton.Sebastien’s work has been recognized with the 2020 Ron Brown Excellence in Innovation Award and the 2018 U.S. Department of Commerce Bronze Medal for his leadership at Saildrone, as well as with the 2012 EA Emerging Leaders Award, 2011 Tech 100 Award, 2010 TechFellow Award, and 2003 Booz Allen Professional Excellence Award.He has served on the boards of Saildrone, Samasource, Vittana, UWC-USA, Solar Fuel Institute, and Trusted Family. Sebastien holds a Master’s degree in Civil and Environmental Engineering from Imperial College London, is a Henry Crown Fellow at the Aspen Institute, and a European Young Leader at Friends of Europe.
