Sabyasachi Thakur is the Chief Information Officer at Parksons Packaging Limited, a leading paper packaging company in India. Parksons delivers packaging solutions to clients both domestically and internationally from its 12 world-class manufacturing plants across India and a new one in Tanzania. IT is a core function at Parksons, enabling the company\'s growth over the years.Sabyasachi drives the IT strategy at Parksons, aligning it with the management\'s vision. He oversees new projects and ensures the optimized utilization of IT investments within the organization. He is also a member of the India Leadership Team at Parksons. Sabyasachi has led various enterprise projects at Parksons, including SAP S4 HANA, Salesforce, Qliksense BI, Adrenalin HRMS, and Webcenter (ESKO) product design, among others. Additionally, he is driving the Merger & Acquisition IT Integration process.With over 30 years of experience as a seasoned IT professional, Sabyasachi has handled complex and diverse IT projects and operations in both Indian and global organizations. He has worked with SAP in three different organizations with varying business requirements and has collaborated with a wide range of partners and IT vendors in India. He is well-connected in the CIO community.Sabyasachi stood 4th in his class at the PGDBM course of IIM Kolkata and featured in the Institute’s Honours role. He also completed a BE in Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering from Jadavpur University, Kolkata, and holds professional certifications such as PMP, ITIL, and CII (UK).Previously, Sabyasachi headed IT at CenturyPly, a leading B2C manufacturing company in India. He also worked in the Corporate IT department of ITC for several years, leading various IT initiatives. He served as the first CIO of Aon in India, a global leader in insurance broking. Sabyasachi has also worked in CIO consulting, providing CIO services to mid-sized corporates in India, and worked in a pharma start-up called AIOCD Ltd, developing an IT platform for pharmaceutical products distribution.Sabyasachi has authored various articles and shared perspectives on IT trends in leading Indian media publications. He regularly contributes white papers and articles on IT and has been awarded various CIO awards for his projects and contributions in the field of IT. In his spare time, he enjoys traveling, music, and meditation.

Some of the Key projects implemented are as followed-1)Migration of SAP S4 HANA to SAP RISE Enterprise private cloud 2) Migration of On premise SAP S4 Hana & Qlik Platform to AWS Cloud 3) M&A IT Integration and SAP role-out in newly acquired entities such as Fortuner, Manohar Packaging, MK at 6 new manufacturing locations such as Baddi, Goa, Punjab,Daman, Motaponda, Haridwar4) ESKO Webcenter implemented on AWS cloud - one of the world\'s largest SAAS based PLM implementation for packaging industry5) Qliksense Analytics platform implemented and revamped the existing analytics platform with new dashboards for Sales, Finance & Operations 6) Implemented Enterprise wide Cyber security initiatives including SOC and revamped Enterprise wide Software Asset Management Platform7) Trezix EXIM system implemented for complete automation and compliances related to processes in exports and import operations8) SAP and IT systems and infrastructure were implemented successfully at greenfield manufacturing plant at Tanzania
