Lyon, FR

As a consultant for Akkodis, I have worked as a Scrum Master on two short-term assignments, and now serve as a Product Owner in a more long-term position.* I currently work as Product Owner for a team developing an internal product for a large international client. As our team is quite small, I wear the hats of a Product Manager, Scrum Master, tester, analyst, and designer. My everyday responsibilities include stakeholder relationship management, product discovery/ideation/design/validation, data analysis, backlog management and team leadership.* My second team struggled to adopt Scrum, as its team makeup was incredibly volatile. In my role there, I focused on aiding and teaching the Product Owner, who was the only consistent member of the team, more about Agility and basic principles of iterative development. Together we gained control of the Product Backlog, greatly improved onboarding documentation and processes, and fashioned a customized Agile framework that dealt with very short iterative cycles and continuous team makeup changes.* My first team had a very low understanding of Scrum beyond the structural aspects. As my assignment was slated to be very short term, I served the team by observing their existing processes and creating a Dysfunction Map to help find solutions tied to the root causes of their issues. I provided basic Scrum training to the team, and then mentored a developer on the team to take on the Scrum Master accountability more fully. He has since become a capable Scrum Master in his own right, and is continuing the work of continuous improvement for the team.

ABOUT JEREMY RANDALL

Five years ago, I was stuck in Texas, in a dead-end tech support job that I hated, with no degree, no savings and no foreseeable way out.But I had a vision for my family, and a plan to improve our life, little by little, until we could achieve it. I dreamed of finding a job that I could do from anywhere and relocating to Europe before my daughter had to enter school at age five.We moved to France before she turned two.Today, I work as a Scrum Master and Product Owner for a tech company in France. I\'m living my best life (and eating all the best food) with my family in Lyon. I got here by approaching my vision with an Agile mindset. Now I use Scrum and Agile to simplify and structure everything that I do. I articulate how I apply these rules and this mindset, as well as how it lined up with my big career pivot and move overseas, in a framework for Personal Agility I call Scrumify.Scrumify adapts practices and lessons from Scrum and Agile to help individuals achieve their big life goals in a managed, methodical, and sustainable way- I\'ve released a book, Scrumify Your Life, that describes the framework in full- I created a Scrumify Workbook to guide users through using the framework on their own- And I offer my services as a Personal Scrum Master to help people use Scrumify to get big things done.Learn more at https://scrumify.carrd.co
