London, ON, CA

Innovated the first physiologically relevant in vitro model of intussusceptive angiogenesis using 3D microfluidic cell culture; published in PNAS and featured in a PNAS commentary highlighting its significance. Designed mechanistic assays and quantified pharmacological response to small molecules, monoclonal antibodies and siRNA knockdown using high-resolution fluorescence confocal microscopy. Collaborated on a cross-functional project by applying complex in vitro model expertise to assess vascular progenitor cell functionality and deliver valuable insights towards understanding tissue regeneration potential. Developed a multi-point, long-term 4D imaging strategy to capture cell dynamics under flow conditions. Mentored a new research associate through full scientific onboarding, teaching core lab techniques and a systematic approach to troubleshooting and experimental design.
