About Scot Walker
My highest aspirations are to live bravely and positively influence how we care for ourselves and one another across the world. I am passionate about solving complex problems and motivated to transform lives on a global scale. My professional background encompasses highly technical and clinical roles in healthcare, civil engineering, and leadership development. After serving in Desert Shield/Storm (82nd Airborne Division), my healthcare journey started as a patient transporter and orthopedic technician while studying for a Civil Engineering degree. After almost 10 years as a civil engineer, I returned to healthcare where I served as a surgical consultant and IT project/program manager. With a Master of Health Administration degree and European expertise in value-based healthcare, the journey from patient transporter all the way to healthcare leadership is a dream come true. Notable service includes: Program Manager: Interoperability, Health Information Exchange, Population Health, and Public Health Reporting at the largest health system in the United States Stakeholder in a multi-country European Commission driven Horizon Europe innovation initiative: This collaborative included representatives from the World Health Organization and several European Health Systems/Universities/Institutes/Research Centers. Centre for European Policy Studies (CEPS), a leading independent think tank on European policies.
