ABOUT SCOTTY REISS
I’m the founder of A Girls Guide to Cars, the leading digital automotive site for women. Reaching 2MM women a month through all our channels, our mission is to empower non-auto enthusiast women, who spend $500 billion+ a year on cars, to feel more confident and engaged in car ownership by presenting cars on their terms. I also host the Forbes Cars & Bikes video channel and am a contributor to the Forbes site, I contribute to Parents and produce the annual Parents Best Family Cars Awards, and am a jurist for the World Car Awards, the leading body recognizing excellence and innovation in automotive. I am, at heart, a content strategist and creator. Previously I was the editor in chief of Luxe magazine; a reporter and editor at Adweek; a freelance writer for the New York Times, Town & Country, Entrepreneur, Madison and others. I created thought leadership and executive guidance for compliance and culture leader LRN; I produced the content (from topics and speakers to impact and takeaway) for the American Express Publishing Luxury Summit, the Luxury Marketing Council and PR Week’s annual conference; I led a team at a top consumer goods company to apply for Fortune 100 Best Companies to Work For recognition (the company was recognized every year during my tenure) and co-wrote the biography of entrepreneur Stew Leonard. My automotive guilty pleasures include driving a manual transmission, performance driving on a track (which I think everyone should experience at least once) and driving EVs. When not working I enjoy travel, shopping, jewelry design and letting my kids and dog ignore me in real time.
