I’m Scott Thompson, a creative director, photographer, filmmaker, and storyteller driven by a passion for capturing the authentic connections that unite us. My work is all about authenticity: telling stories that are real, raw, and emotionally resonant. Whether I’m photographing the high-stakes intensity of a military mission or the unguarded beauty of everyday life, I aim to create visuals that inspire and leave a lasting impression.Growing up in a small farming town, my grandfather taught me the value of hard work, resourcefulness, and finding beauty in the everyday. My creative journey started with my mom, who showed me that mistakes and imperfections could lead to unexpected brilliance—a mindset that’s shaped how I approach both life and storytelling.My career has taken me from military missions in high-stakes environments to capturing the quiet, unguarded moments of life to creating highly technical sets and productions. Whether documenting the visceral emotions of military life or crafting compelling visuals for brands, my goal is to create work that stirs the soul and leaves a lasting impact.At the core of my work are values I hold dear: authenticity, adaptability, and a relentless curiosity about the world around me. These principles guide every project I take on, whether it’s working with clients who value community and connection or exploring new ways to push the boundaries of storytelling.Lately, that curiosity has led me deeper into AI and emerging technology. I’m actively exploring how AI-powered tools can enhance visual storytelling, streamline production workflows, and open new creative possibilities for both photography and filmmaking. By blending traditional craftsmanship with cutting-edge innovation, I aim to deliver work that is not only visually compelling but also ahead of the curve.When I’m not behind the camera, you’ll probably find me exploring new places, brainstorming my next big project, or tinkering with my mobile production van (a passion project that lets me create from anywhere!).At the end of the day, my goal is simple: to create images and stories that move people, bring ideas to life, and build connections that matter.
