As a Managing Director on CBIZ\'s Architecture/Engineering and Advisory Teams, Scott has significant experience providing both compliance and consulting services to architectural, engineering and other small businesses across the Country. Scott acts as a trusted advisor within the A/E community on industry best practices, operational and efficiency initiatives and helps organizations improve/enhance their performance. He has significant experience with Part 31 of the Federal Acquisition Regulation, FAR Compliant Overhead Rate Audits, Government Contracting Consulting and A/E Industry Software Packages. Scott is a Certified Design Accountant which recognizes a professional accountant with a specialized degree of skill, education and working experience that is necessary to successfully manage the financial aspects of today\'s architectural and engineering firms. In 2021, Scott was also the recipient of the Sagamore of ACEC Indiana award given in recognition of his dedication and efforts on behalf of the engineering community to help mitigate the negative unintended consequences of loans received by engineering firms under the Paycheck Protection Program. Scott is also a Certified Exit Planning Advisor and Member of the Exit Planning Institute. As such, he helps guide business owners through the most important decision of their professional lives; how to effectively exit their business and harvest the benefit of a lifetime of hard work and dedication. To further advise business owners through this transition, Scott also has considerable experience in Strategic Planning Facilitation, designing Performance Management Evaluation Systems, developing Key Employee Retention/Deferred Compensation plans and supporting a business’s Merger/Acquisition needs. If it were not for his love of all things accounting, Scott would be a national park ranger.
