Provide first-line supervision to ITA\'s. This includes planning, organizing, staffing, delegating, directing the daily functions of unit staff, conduct and prepare annual performance evaluations; prioritize and delegate workload responsibilities; ensure assignments are completed within required deadlines, and review completed work for accuracy. Oversee the development and implementation of the departmental statewide RoIP system. Provide specialized technical expertise to management on the direction of new and existing technology applications (e.g, VoIP, AT & T Virtual Private Network (AVPN), and digital communications technologies, Project 25, FirstNet, Radio over Internet Protocol (RoIP), InterTalk Console Systems, narrow banding, re-banding, etc.). Provide direction to, and assist ITA staff support for the InterTalk RoIP radio console system; Cisco VoIP phone system, information technology systems, next generation IP radio communication dispatch consoles; IP based portable radios; digital Project 25 mobile radios; 700 Megahertz cross band radio systems, and IP interoperability communication gateways. Provide direction to departmental personnel and vendors to ensure completion of all project tasks on schedule.
