ABOUT SCOTT PINKNEY
With over 35 years of experience working in New York, the UK and Toronto, Scott is a leading Creative Strategist, Brand Ambassador and Relationship Marketer. In 2015 Scott was brought into Publicis to help launch Hawkeye, a new Customer Engagement Practice. Scott brings his experience and deep understanding of consumer insights, creative strategy and data intelligence to drive powerful marketing ideas. Eight years in and the agency has grown to become Canada’s largest CRM agencies and a North American Centre of Excellence. Before joining Publicis, Scott had the privilege of working at Ogilvy One for 10 years and DRAFTFCB/Rivet for 8. He also co-founded Mosaic Direct + Interactive, where he spent 6 years. Before joining Publicis, Scott spent 4 years deepening his digital expertise at BBDO/Proximity. In addition to being an award-winning Creative Director he’s had the privilege of judging at the 2006 Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity in the inaugural year of the Direct Category. And was a judge again this year at the 2023 Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity in the creative data category.Scott has spoken at over 15 different marketing and creative conferences in North America, including the CMA, the 2018 DMA & THEN conference, FFWD Advertising & Marketing Week 2015, the Graphics Canada Summit, the Canada Post ‘Think Outside the Box’ Conference, and as a guest lecturer at Humber College and the Ontario College of Art and Design (OCAD). Scott also served on the Board of Directors of the Canadian and Marketing Association in 2022 and 2023 and was on the 2023 Cannes Lions Creative Data Awarding Jury. In late 2021, Publicis Groupe launched an initiative called This is the Job. It aims to change the complexion of Canada\'s advertising industry to help it more closely reflect the country\'s diverse makeup. ThisIsTheJob.org will broaden its reach across Canada and engage with more young people who may not have considered advertising as a viable career path. However, Scott’s creativity isn’t just reserved for his clients; he is also an accomplished fine artist, and his abstract paintings have been exhibited in the U.S.
