About Scott Rosenbloom
With over 20 years leading large-scale strategy and policy initiatives, I bring a proven record of driving complex systems modernization and organizational transformation. I am passionate about advancing safety, efficiency, and innovation across critical infrastructures and high-stakes operational environments. In my current role as Deputy Strategy Director at the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), I lead cross-functional teams in formulating strategic frameworks that guide modernization of critical infrastructure systems, integration of innovative technologies, and long-term operational planning at the national level. I lead risk management in capital planning for a $10B+ infrastructure budget; I also manage operational risk assessment for the aviation system to drive data-based budgetary decisions to design and implement the national airspace system of the future. Previously at the FAA, I advised political appointees and executive leadership on technology and infrastructure modernization, led national policy engagement with Congress and key stakeholders, and directed regulatory teams responsible for advancing safety, operational, and environmental standards.I also have a strong background in military and national security affairs, having retired from the United States Air Force. Prior to joining the FAA, I served as an Airfield Operations and Air Traffic Control Officer, where I commanded organizations responsible for safe and efficient aviation operations at airfields around the globe. I hold an active Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) security clearance.I hold a Master of Business Administration from New York University\'s Stern School of Business and a Master of Science in Kinesiology and Exercise Science; I’m passionate about physical fitness and have completed 10+ half-marathons and marathons, 2 triathlons, and a 50-mile ultra-marathon.Overall, I bring a unique perspective to the projects I collaborate on, within and alongside my ongoing work at the FAA, due to the combination of my leadership skills, technical expertise, and policy knowledge. The opinions I express on LinkedIn are my own and do not represent those of my employer.
