ABOUT SCOTT LABONTE

With over 25 years in sales and sales leadership, I’ve built a career on a simple but powerful idea: when done right, sales changes lives — not just for customers, but for the teams and organizations behind the solution. I’m passionate about sales because I’ve seen what happens when it’s done with purpose. I’ve watched customers earn promotions, solve challenges that seemed insurmountable, and improve the way they work — all because we helped them make the right decision at the right time. Great selling is about more than numbers; it’s about creating value that lasts, building trust that scales, and coaching others to do the same. As a sales leader, my role is to drive performance — not just through quotas and metrics, but by building teams that are skilled, accountable, and customer-focused. I lead with the belief that sustainable success comes from mastering the fundamentals, staying relentlessly curious, and always putting people first. Here are a few principles that have shaped my leadership style and guided the success of my teams: • Sales is math — not magic. Success starts with understanding your pipeline, win rates, and the ratios that drive revenue. • Start with strategy, not the solution. Know your customer’s business, pain points, and success metrics before you pitch. • Trust is your most valuable currency. Oversell once and it’s gone. Be honest. Deliver more than expected. • Winning is a team sport. Every sale is a shared accomplishment. Celebrate contributions. Give credit. • Passion fuels performance. If you’re not energized by what you do, your customers and team will feel it. • There’s no finish line for learning. Every loss, every win — it’s data. Use it. • True leadership is measured in the success of others. If you can’t step back and let others shine, you’re not leading — you’re managing. I’m always open to connecting with like-minded professionals, mentoring emerging sales talent, and sharing insights that help teams grow stronger and sell smarter. If you’re looking to raise the bar on performance and leadership, I’d love to connect.
