View department →

Denver, CO, US

I lead Business Insider’s Group Subscriptions business, and my focus has been on making it more efficient, more scalable, and better aligned with how companies actually want to buy and use our product. The role spans sales, strategy, and hands-on execution. That includes rebuilding outbound from the ground up, tightening renewal workflows, improving onboarding, and working closely with teams across Marketing, Reporting, Product, and Customer Support. I’ve been focused on simplifying operations while staying grounded in what drives growth: smarter automation, cleaner processes, and messaging that reflects what buyers actually care about.Key responsibilities: • Own the group subscription funnel, from self-serve to sales-led accounts • Cross-functional collaboration across internal teams to refine pricing, packaging, and messaging for corporate buyers across industries • Optimize and build on existing onboarding and renewal processes to support retention and identify opportunities for account expansion • Collaborate across teams to align strategy and execution throughout the customer lifecycle • Research and define best practices for systems and automation that can support growth without adding manual overhead, then build implementation plans in collaboration with cross-functional teamsThe goal is to make it easy for companies to get real value from Business Insider, at scale, with minimal friction.

ABOUT SCOTT KRAMP

I lead the Group Subscriptions team at Business Insider, helping organizations and higher education institutions get more value from the journalism their teams already rely on. We publish the kind of journalism that helps people do their jobs better, and I’m proud to be part of making that easier to access. My work sits at the intersection of sales strategy, pricing, and operational automation. Whether I’m partnering with Fortune 500 companies or top-tier academic institutions, I specialize in- Scaling Access: Building the infrastructure that allows enterprise-wide adoption- Operational Excellence: Fixing the clunky,\"messy\" middle - think billing, renewals, and inbound flows —that often hinders growth- Cross-Functional Alignment: Uniting marketing, product, finance, and customer service to create a seamless user journey. Before BI, I was at The Wall Street Journal, where I helped grow their corporate subscriptions business by tightening up inbound processes to build better pipeline, improving collaboration across customer service, marketing, billing, and finance, and fixing the kinds of operational headaches that make renewals harder than they need to be.If a process is harder than it needs to be, I want to know why. Most of the time, the product is solid. It’s everything around it that gets messy. No one really owns it, the process is clunky, and someone’s still managing it out of a spreadsheet from 2017.If your team already reads Business Insider, there’s no reason they should have to jump through hoops or rely on someone else’s password to do it. Ask me how I can help make access easier.
