ABOUT SCOTT J. MCCORMACK
Research ScopeTo develop and document complex oxide, carbide, nitride and di-boride thermochemical and thermophysical properties for next-generation hypersonic platforms, nuclear (fission and fusion), and space exploration material systems. This leads to 4 key integrated fundamental research themes:(i) Material Synthesis,(ii) Calorimetry, and (iv) CALPHAD. These themes are related to 2 key research initiatives:(i) Materials Design and (ii) Materials Discovery.
