ABOUT SCOTT HEATH
Work for me is about creating an environment where a team can achieve the biggest impact with the lowest amount of effort, and where everyone has a chance to succeed. For the last decade I have worked in the Research and Development space, experiencing a mixture of waterfall and agile project management. The focus has been delivering work within a European Commission co-funded programme called Shift2Rail. I have helped write bids, coordinated consortia, chaired committees, managed work packages, and co-authored and reviewed deliverables, all whilst managing an internal team delivering R&D work. I have previous volunteer experience, acting as a member of the Board of Trustees of the Volunteer Centre Camden for 10 years, 6 of which I was the Chair. I resigned from my position in December 2024. I am also very active in the Diversity and Inclusion space, currently Chairing the Hitachi Rail GTS UK LGBTQI+ Employee Resource Group, Unity. In recognition of my work at Network Rail in this space, I received a British Empire Medal (BEM) in the Queen’s Birthday Honours List 2018.
