About Scott Hall

I have proudly served in a variety of defense acquisition, aircraft maintenance, international, and Pentagon staff assignments. My program management and operational experience spans a diverse selection of weapon systems that includes fifth generation fighters, bombers, airborne command & control and battle managemt systems, strategic airlift, and satellite communication systems. My amazing leadership journey covers an assortment of cross-cultural military, civilian, and multinational organizations that often required creative approaches to problem solving. One of my most unique experiences was leading a portfolio of US Embassy Offices located across 22 countries. We had an extraordinary multinational team of professionals who were all focused on building up various capabilities of US international partners as we pursued common goals for global security and stability. The leadership roles that reinforced my sense of patriotism occurred while commanding three aircraft maintenance squadrons, culminating as the commander of an organization with 1,100 personnel and 130 fighter aircraft. I was truly inspired by the dedication and resolve of our aircraft maintainers and the bravery of our pilots. My most thrilling leadership roles involved the strategic planning and business acumen that comes with managing several multibillion-dollar acquisition and sustainment programs not just for the United States but also 40 countries around the globe. I get a rush from the critical thinking challenges with developing new technologies, optimizing supply chains, shaping maintenance and repair concepts, and engaging with senior government and industry leaders. The thrill of strategic thinking and business acumen was also my motivation for dedicating my academic research at Harvard University and Air Command Staff College to developing organizational strategy, lean management, and creating more efficient government business processes using commercial sector best practices.Because I was so fortunate to have incredible mentors in my life, I also feel compelled to invest time towards mentoring junior professionals in leadership, professional development, wealth management, and family values. That is why I established several mentoring and workforce development programs in various organizations throughout the years.
