I’m the founder of Black Antelope, a digital design and development agency based in Seattle. Since 2009, I’ve led our work with universities, nonprofits, public agencies, enterprise companies, and mission-driven organizations—building accessible, scalable websites that combine thoughtful design with robust technical architecture.My background spans both creative and technical disciplines. I studied music and computer science at UC Davis and got my start working at UC Davis’ University Communications team on high-profile sites including the main ucdavis.edu. I later served as VP of Technology at VentureBeat, a leading tech publication covering startups and venture capital. These experiences gave me a deep appreciation for the complex digital challenges that large organizations face—from strategy and accessibility to long-term sustainability.At Black Antelope, I work closely with clients and our distributed team on everything from high-level vision to technical execution. Over the years, we’ve had the privilege of partnering with organizations like UC Berkeley, UCSF, OHSU, the Washington State Department of Commerce, Cornish College of the Arts, the Monterey Bay Aquarium, and SPCA International.
