I am an experienced executive with over 30 years in the insurance industry holding diverse “C” level positions, including Chief Executive Officer/President, Chief Operating Officer, Chief Sales Officer, Regional President and Chief Legal Officer, for insurance distribution, carrier, technology and claims companies ranging from PE to public company to venture capital. I have a strong background in strategic planning with deep understanding of multiple organizational disciplines, risk management, acquisition and organic growth dynamics, and corporate finance (ranging from IPO to multi-billion dollar debt offerings).I am currently Chief Executive Officer for Brightstone Specialty Group out of Traverse City. Brightstone is a national partnership of MGA\'s program administrators and specialty service providers. Prior to Brightstone, I was President of High Street Insurance and Financial Services, a full service Top 25 National insurance agency. Previously, I was Chief Operating Officer in the U.S. for SCM Insurance Services, the leading Canadian provider employees) of claims and risk management services successfully building out its entry into the U.S. I also led the Sales and Marketing operations for Hub International, a top ten global broker employees). Responsibilities included corporate strategic growth investments in marketing, sales operations, training, and segmentation strategies and working with field sales organization to accelerate organic growth via Hub’s producers. In addition, I served as a Regional President for the U.S. Central Region where I had P&L responsibility for 20% of the company’s revenue. I led successful efforts to significantly grow profitability in the regions I oversaw. I started at Hub as Chief Legal Officer in 2009. I also served as Senior Vice President of Specialty Underwriters Alliance, Inc. I oversaw all aspects of Ops Analysis, Legal, Investor Relations, Human Resources, and Admin for this national P&C insurance carrier.Other experiences include General Counsel at AscendantOne, Senior Counsel for Vertafore, and Associate at Cahill Gordon & Reindel.
