Practice Manager responsible to the Board of Directors for the management and operations of a busy regional law firm across 6 office locations. Winner of the Law Practice Management Award at the Northern Law Awards in June 2017.A diverse and challenging role that calls for strategic and operational understanding complemented by strong leadership, management, organizational and communication skills. Principal duties and responsibilities include:Business strategizing and planning.Business continuity planning.Corporate governance and compliance.Systems and operations management.Budget and financial managementRisk management and compliance.Project management of firm-wide key projects.Management of HR and information services.Business planning and development.Formulation of policy and service development.Introduction, establishment and maintenance of organizational best practice.Strategic and operational management of all staff.Data controller/data protection.Health and safety management, including risk assessment.Facilities management across 6 office locations.Non-legal client care.Staff training and development.Analysis and interpretation of complex data.Delivery of services against Key Performance Indicators.HR & People Leadership & Management:Provision of the full range of HR management including:Formulation and introduction of current HR policy in line with UK employment law.Recruitment and selection of staff.Contracts of employment.Supervision, training and welfare.Disciplinary and grievance procedures.Performance appraisal and the deployment of staff across the organization to best align support.Management of the firm\'s personnel and payroll software.Management of data in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation.The role of Practice Manager also involves weekly liaison with regulatory bodies and a detailed understanding of UK employment law.
