Leadership is about true connection, and it fuels me!Over the years I have had the privilege of leading some incredible teams and mentoring some very gifted leaders. Work environments have varied from hyper-growth where quickly scaling teams to meet the hurried pace of aggressive E-commerce giants was the norm to government integrators with steeped layers of bureaucracy and endless red-tape. Regardless, I have found that at the center of it all is human connection…and it is life-giving! Connection, in any environment, is highly generative. We are naturally drawn to connection in our pursuit of love, safety, and belonging. We are in essence, just humans trying to be good humans to other humans. Fortunately, many of the individuals I have worked alongside have also become friends…we are connected. Effective Leadership only occurs if people firmly believe that you care…about them, their dreams, their worries, and their hurts.
