ABOUT SCOTT DURAIRAJ
Posting here my own views, not that of my employer. I have worked nationally, regionally and within systems designing and directing complex strategy delivery, governance and assurance portfolios. I have extensive knowledge of NHS England reporting, regulatory and reconfiguration functions and requirements. I have a postgraduate degree in race and sociology. In 2014 I gained an MBA with distinction award from the University of Sussex Business School. In 2018 I gained a distinction in the Chartered Management Institute Diploma. I have a clinical background and extensive experience at director level across the public sector. I have led high-profile improvement projects often at pace and from a starting point of deficit or challenge in addressing statutory and regulatory requirements and standards in provider mental health and acute trusts, NHS England and Improvement, commissioning organisations and ICS, I have led at board level extensive portfolio of programmes from service improvement and transformation, health strategy, communication and engaging staff and disadvantaged patient populations, health and social care outcomes, health and workforce inequality reduction, large capital projects and ICS developments. I have experience across central government, working at the Department of Health and NHS England in policy, strategy & performance roles. I am strategic in my approach and outlook with clear knowledge of operational healthcare challenges and pressures, with particular strengths in developing detailed programmes of work from high level policy and strategy that are implemented to drive operational transformational change, and I have track record of delivering results at pace, under pressure and within budget. I am trained to the Association of Project Managers methodologies and management accounting via my MBA. I utilise Microsoft Project or OpenProj to measure multiple projects within a programme portfolio. This includes work-packages, workflows and project slack. I use these same packages to support the performance management of performance reporting, project delivery, monitoring, risk tracking, mitigation and financial planning. MBTI Type II ENTJ
