About Scott Doerr
I am, and always have been, driven to succeed. As a (retired) wrestler, I have developed foundational traits that have led me to become both experienced and successful as a Territory Sales Manager with a demonstrated history of perseverance, patience, and persistence. These three qualities are keys to success, and I\'ll elaborate on each of them:When you work in the medical device industry long enough, you will experience recall management. There is no truer test in my realm of business than what you do when you have a product that, while once had your full endorsement, now jeopardizes the safety of patients. In this scenario, strong perseverance (as well as utmost transparency) is REQUIRED if you want to be successful. I have been able to restore faith and circumvent objections by having a high level of integrity and actively present my business strategy.I have exhibited patience in my career, waiting for the right opportunity to climb the corporate ladder. I was able to build a foundation of elite experience working in highly competitive academic institutions for the first eleven years of my career (including Emory University and Duke University hospitals). Having the patience to grow and develop has allowed me to enhance my skill-sets that are vital to my current position.Lastly, I truly believe that most rejections and objections stem from either fear or disinterest in change, and it is my job to soften the fears while piquing the interests. This may not happen the first interaction, and maybe not the next ten either, but maintaining persistence through rejections and objections will lead to eventual success. I took over accounts that had relatively soured relationships with my brand, and exercised persistence to regain their trust in my company. These three attributes serve as a foundation for my current role as a Territory Manager at Abbott. Building upon said foundation, I have developed a strong Leadership and Talent Development skillset. Over the past four years, I have been identifying, interviewing, and onboarding diverse candidates that best suit our business units. Once they are employed, I have coordinated and implemented unique development strategies that emphasize each individual\'s strengths. With an emphasis on positivity and integrity, one can brand or re-brand the culture of their team. This is my daily focus.
