CAP is the all volunteer civilian auxiliary of the United States Air Force. We perform a three part mission: We conduct search functions for all aircraft missing in the USA, and, as requested by local law enforcement agencies with assistance in searching for missing people on the ground or in the air. We provide aerospace education programs for the public on the importance of aviation to our economy and country. Most importantly, we work with America\'s youth on mentoring and leadership activities. Many of the teens that we work with go on to become civic, business, or military leaders.I currently serve as a SAR-CD (Search and Rescue)(Counter Drug) qualified Mission Pilot, Instructor Pilot and Check Airman. In the past I have held leadership roles in the Squadron, and currently am a Public Affairs officer (PAO). I have also served as an Escort-Ambassador for the International Air Cadet Exchange (IACE) program leading teens on trips to Turkey, The Netherlands, and Hong Kong, China.I hold the honorary rank of Major.
