About Scott Warren
I\'m a Business Manager at Microsoft in the Business & Industry Copilot organization, where I run the operational engine behind hiring, headcount, budgets, data, and org transitions for a large engineering and design org.The short version: I\'m the person who helps get the right numbers match reality, the right people get hired, and nothing important falls through the cracks between HR, Recruiting, Finance, Legal, and the business.I also run our intern program operations, coordinating placements, manager assignments, rotations, and everything that needs to be in place before day one. If you\'re an incoming intern at Microsoft and you received an email with my name on it, that\'s why. Happy to connect and welcome to the team. But the part I\'m most energized by right now is AI.I lead AI adoption in Business Operations - not as a sponsor who talks about it in meetings, but as someone who actually builds things. I\'ve live-demoed working agents using Claude Code and GitHub Copilot CLI that automate real workflows: data analysis, recruiting status emails, financial close activities, data processing that used to be copy/paste. I help my org and teams across Business Operations roles figure out which tools to use to get the desired outcome. I\'m a Customer Zero for new AI features and low-code tools. I use them, break them, and feed learnings back to our product teams. My goal isn\'t to track what people are doing. It\'s to move the question from \"are people using AI?\" to \"is AI creating measurable impact?\"What I care most about, in order:→ Accuracy over speed→ Data that reflects reality, not intent→ Process that matches how the business actually works→ Automation that scales, not manual steps that multiply→ Getting people the clarity they need to move forwardMy bias: accuracy before speed, data over gut-feel, and automation over the third time you do something manually.
