I lead a high-performing category management team and am responsible for the strategic procurement across all property-related categories, including:Capital Investment: Delivering procurement for property upgrades, including kitchens, bathrooms, windows, roofs, disrepairs, external works, planned maintenance (PPM), and adaptations.Sustainability & Decarbonisation: Delivering procurement programmes for retrofit initiatives, including projects funded by the Social Housing Decarbonisation Fund (SHDF), the adoption of renewable energy technologies (e.g. PV panels, heat pumps), and ensuring compliance with Future Homes Standards (FHS), including Energy Performance Certification (EPC) services.Statutory & Regulatory Compliance: Oversee procurement to ensure full compliance with all statutory and regulatory requirements, including fire safety (passive and active fire protection), gas safety, electrical safety, water safety, asbestos management, legionella management, and Building Safety Act compliance.Homeownership: Delivering a procurement service for homeownership investments including Section 20 and leaseholder requirements.Development & Regeneration: Overseeing procurement for development and regeneration projects, including demolitions, ground remediation, site preparations, infrastructure development (roads, utilities, car parking), and both traditional and Modern Methods of Construction (MMC).Facilities Management: Delivering procurement for hard & soft FM services.Property Professional Services: Procuring external consultants, architects, and services to ensure compliance with CDM regulations.In my role, I utilise the JCT suite of contracts and am responsible for drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts to mitigate risk and ensure project success. I am a key member of the procurement management team, responsible for shaping the overall procurement strategy and direction, and ensuring alignment with overall company objectives.
