About Scott Burks
I am a SAS and SQL programmer who uses SAS (Base SAS and Enterprise Guide) to perform duties that are integral to Analytics such as data visualization, geospatial analytics, data warehousing, ETL design (using Matillion and Enterprise Guide), data cleansing and data extraction. I\'ve recently picked up the data visualization mantle over the last five years, specifically in Power BI and Tableau. I\'ve been responsible for creating various reports and dashboards for business clients in order to help them interpret their data. I earned a Master\'s Degree in Advanced Analytics from North Carolina State University in May, 2010 - which was preceded by a Master\'s Degree in Biological Sciences from NC A&T State University. Basically, I\'m an IT geek with a scientific flair, minus the microscope. In my spare time I love to work out, play my bass (upright and guitar) and maintain a sports blog.My certifications are as follows: 1) SAS certified base programmer for SAS 92) Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certified3) Microsoft Office Specialist4) ITIL Foundations
