For 27 years at Procter & Gamble, including 9 as a Director, I’ve excelled at the intersection of What’s Needed, What’s Possible, and What’s Profitable, delivering innovative value engineering solutions. My holistic, systems thinking approach connects the first principles of physical products and processes to business outcomes that drive sustainable growth and measurable impact. Starting my journey as a facilities engineer, I helped define, design and start-up a new plant outside Mexico City. I quickly expanded my mastery into process engineering, leading process a new technology that would eventually come to life as groundbreaking products like Tide evo Laundry Detergent Tiles. In this role, I discovered my love for value engineering—a passion that has since become the cornerstone of my career. In the 20 years since, I have continued to hone my skills in value engineering by blending deep technical mastery with sharp business acumen. As a storyteller, I excel at transforming complex data into compelling narratives that inspire actionable business recommendations. This expertise enables me to influence and enhance cross-functional teams effectively. I work with Commercial teams, R&D, Engineering and Manufacturing, to make sure that our products, processes and equipment deliver maximum value at launch. This involves ensuring the entire multidisciplinary team understands how the decisions they make affect the overall product lifecycle. For existing products and supply chains, I help uncover cost savings that may not be obvious and work with suppliers and purchasing to drive wins for both the supplier and customer. I have identified 100s of millions in dollar value through strategic analyses in new product development, structural savings, and supplier joint value creation, among others. I have led the development of our value engineering tools and trained hundreds of students on value engineering. Beyond my professional journey, I am passionate about mentoring and coaching, empowering others to unlock their full potential. Whether teaching new skills or sharing insights from my own experiences of resilience, I find joy in those “magic moments” that help others thrive.
