ABOUT SCOTT SCHMALTZ

I am a bit of a self-proclaimed nerd and have a passion for problem solving as well as research and analysis. I also have a passion for business. These passions have been evident in my college major choice and the classes I have taken as well as the extracurricular activities I have participated in. My passion for research and analysis began my senior year of high school with an AP statistics class and continued into research design.I have always enjoyed coming up with creative ways to solve problems which is evident in several of my class choices in college. I also love the fact that I can use research to help people and business solve problems.•Research Skills: I have undertaken several projects that have given me the opportunity to develop and show my research skills. I have completed a market research project for a local company. I have also designed and conducted research for an advanced research methods class.(Some of these projects can be found in the projects section.)•Communication Skills: As a business student it is expected that I possess excellent written and verbal communication skills. These have been demonstrated when I was part of a group that created, wrote, and presented a promotional campaign for Wells Fargo for a class. Also, as the Vice President of Recruitment for the Marketing Club I need to possess these communication skills to attract and retain new members as well as present about the projects and activities we are undertaking.•Teamwork Skills: I am an excellent team player and work well with others. This is exemplified by the Market Research project I did with my team as well as creating an advertising campaign for Mary Kay with 11 other people. I am also part of the Marketing Club officer team that is trying to bring the Marketing Club back to prominence at the Monfort College of Business.
