Mr. Winship graduated from the University of Puget Sound (now Seattle University) School of Law in 1986, where he was a member of the Moot Court Board and the Order of the Barristers. He served as a deputy prosecutor in Pierce and King Counties before entering private practice with the Tacoma law firm of Bonneville, Viert, Morton & McGoldrick. In 1990, Mr. Winship joined North Pacific Bank in Tacoma, becoming President and CEO in 1995. Following the successful sale of North Pacific Bank in 1998, Mr. Winship joined the firm of Johanson Berenson LLP, a boutique corporate law firm based in Napa, California, where his practice included work in the areas of corporate finance, mergers and acquisitions, leveraged buyouts, employment law, and Employee Stock Ownership Plans. In 2002, Mr. Winship helped organize and open Northwest Commercial Bank in Lakewood. In 2004, Mr. Winship returned to the practice of law and is now a partner in the law firm of Vandeberg, Johnson & Gandara, LLP. His practice focuses primarily on representation of individuals in trust and estate administration and litigation.
