ABOUT SCOTT WILLIAMS
After 17 years as an air traffic controller, I accepted a new position as Manager of On-the-Job Training for the Edmonton FIR, managing over 25 different sites/specialties. I have used my expertise in ATC to benefit the workplace while exploring new places and meeting new people. I then moved into my current role, managing the Edmonton ACC. I began 1 year before the onset of the pandemic and have found this role to be exciting and rewarding while navigating the challenges the last 15 months has brought our industry.I make decisions quickly and decisively with accuracy and I have a proven ability to teach others in my field. I\'ve embraced roles which require added duties, responsibilities and effort. I love my job - controlling, teaching, preparing for the future, supervising and managing others - where every day can bring a new challenge in one of the most exciting professions in the world.
