ABOUT SCOTT WAINSTOCK

Hello. I’m a software development manager with experience working in agile and traditional work atmospheres. I approach problems with an eye toward practicality and big-picture needs. I enjoy software design and architecture, but I also enjoy being a part of the realization and extension of the work I’m involved with. I don’t think you should attempt to design something that you couldn’t code yourself.Despite having moved into management, I still consider myself a \"doer\" on the job. I love exploring new technologies, but also get a huge sense of satisfaction out of tweaking portions of legacy systems that aren’t working as advertised. I think the balance between these two areas is synergistic and very satisfying to explore.I try to \"sharpen the saw\" outside of work as much as possible by creating (and finishing) projects. I’ve met some incredibly smart people in the industry, but I’m yet to meet one with all the answers. Bringing out the best in yourself and those on your team is a great feeling, and I love finding ways to experience this in the workplace.
