About Scott Tajak
I am responsible for the marketing, negotiation, and placement of environmental insurance for clients. Additional responsibilities include helping to identify potential environmental issues that may arise or currently exist for clients and prospective clients. I have over 30 years of experience within the environmental industry including over 20 years in environmental insurance underwriting, 4 years of environmental claims support for a large insurance carrier and 5 years of environmental consulting services performing projects as a subcontractor to US EPA and US Army Corps of Engineers. Over my career, I have worked in various environmental underwriting roles including being a regional and product line manager for AIG. With deep and diversified experience in environmental risks and insurance, I am known for building successful environmental programs to insure complex environmental exposures. I have underwritten just about every type of environmental loss exposure during my career, I have extensive expertise in public entity business, including site pollution for water and wastewater treatment facilities, school districts, municipalities, airports, and ports. I also have expertise in M&A transactions, property real estate and private equity transactions, multinational environmental programs, and state sponsored environmental insurance programs.
