25+ years of industry experience working within the Energy sector (Oil & Gas and affiliated service companies) helping clients move towards process maturity and operational excellence. Through using a thought leadership approach, I seek to help clients achieve improved insight into their processes and operations allowing for more agile decision making in a rapidly changing business and geopolitical environment. Companies in this space are among some of the most complex entities in the business world. In order to survive and thrive, efficiencies need to be achieved across all Upstream/Midstream/Downstream processes. Process and operational excellence mindsets need to be incubated… in the Super-Majors and all the way down to the smaller independent producers, refiners and in Oilfield Services providers. New ideas and disruptive technologies such as AI and Machine Learning, the need for the effective use of data in the facilitation of Predictive/Proscriptive Analytics, securing the promise of the Cloud as an innovative tool, the convergence of operational control technologies (OT) with IT technologies and evolving promise of IoT… all of these concepts are leading to improved insight across the enterprise when utilized. Understanding the business value and implications for implementing these new technology initiatives correctly eliminates risk/cost, improves decision making and increases revenue even in a downturn. It’s my desire along with my colleagues to foster the profitable adoption of these evolutionary advents across the Energy sector to help make all of our lives better.
