As Managing Principal of SK & A, I have the privilege of leading our management team and shaping the firm’s strategic direction. Since joining SK & A in 2005, I’ve grown alongside the firm, first as an Associate, then as a Principal in 2009, and now as the third Managing Principal in our history. My focus is not only on guiding our firm forward but also on mentoring the next generation of engineers, sharing the lessons I’ve learned over my three-decade career to support SK & A’s emerging talent and future leaders.Throughout my career, I have had the opportunity to lead the design of major multi-building developments, revitalize existing structures through significant renovations and modernizations, and transform spaces through adaptive reuse. I thrive on solving complex structural challenges—integrating architectural vision, engineering demands, and real-world constraints to deliver efficient and creative solutions.Beyond my role at SK & A, I am committed to advancing the profession through industry leadership. I serve on the Catholic University of America’s Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering Advisory Board and have previously served as Chairperson and Director of the Structural Engineers Association of Metropolitan Washington (SEA-MW). I believe in proactive client service, cultivating new market opportunities, and fostering a firm culture that values collaboration, ingenuity, and technical excellence.
