   Reporting to the CFO and managing a team of eight finance and data employees. From the ground up, directly responsible for the development of multiple processes and procedures that have enabled significant revenue growth, eliminated unnecessary spend, and created insight for internal stakeholders and external investors. Played a key role in M&A and helped Automattic triple revenue and double employees in less than four years.• Developed the finance foundation from square one, with ongoing cadences and defined processes for planning, forecasting, and reporting. Designed and implemented a financial reporting system which included a material data restructure.• Built out the finance team from one team member to nine diversified and experienced employees, including two data analysts• Introduced and expanded finance business partnering for all business units including development of operational KPI’s aligned to revenue targets, support on strategy, forecasting, etc. I initially partnered with each business and later scaled to dedicated finance partners for the key business units while maintaining oversight.• Created and launched internal reporting with full business unit P & Ls and established an external reporting structure including quarterly investor updates and formal board presentations• Participated as a key player in raising over $600M in primary funding and led discussions on multiple secondary transactions • M&A finance lead and acquisition team member for one closed and two in-process acquisitions
